Love hurts.
Life sucks.
This is what it means to be human.
It was never meant to be easy.
Suffering is part of compassion.
Like Rumi said, "the cure for pain is in the pain."
Many of us have lost the ability to see suffering as part of life.
We label life by our degree of comfort.
And can’t see the compassion in the suffering.
And that is how we lose the very empathy we strive to cultivate in the first place.
Perhaps your purpose started as a calling, but now the only call you want to make is 911 for yourself.
And the consequences of depleting empathy are real and reaching epidemic proportions.
So it's important to confront it.
To feel your pain.
And their pain.
To let it in.
To let it flow.
Then let it go.
To let is pass through us.
That's the only way.
The only way we can incorporate it.
Learn from it.
Grow from it.
It becomes a part of us.
Then we transform it.
And help ourselves heal.
Help others heal.
Help the world heal.
