About to Go Up

About to Go Up

Going over bits.
In my head.
About to go up.
About to stand-up.
It’s not easy.
It’s super hard.
Showing up.
Standing-up.
Getting a laugh.
One laugh.
Maybe another.
It’s easy to write a prescription for “more laughter.”
It’s extremely difficult to own the room.
To get up.
To say the stuff right.
To read the crowd.
To tap into their energy.
To work em.
To work with them.
To just be with them.
And just make them laugh.
That’s what I’m doing.
I’m trying to make you laugh.
I’ll fail a lot.
Occasionally something might work.
I’ll hold onto it.
Rework it.
Keep working it.
I’ll listen to @jerryseinfeld.
Write every day.
Don’t break the streak.
Mark huge X’s on a wall calendar.
I wrote today.
