The Z fell off my MacBook Pro.

Tech.

Techno.

Technology.

Tech-NO-logy.

It's right there.

No!

Why no technology?

It's killing us.

It's killing me.

It's killing creativity.

There's a definite trade-off between creativity and technology.

It's good to power down and pick up a pen and paper.

Tech is killing childhood.

Time spent on devices is precious.

Precious time gone forever.

It's hindering kids’ abilities.

Especially to connect to each other.

Especially to connect to the “real” world.

Stephen Hawking said it best:

“Since civilization began, aggression has been useful in as much as it has definite survival advantages,” he said. “It is hardwired into our genes by Darwinian evolution."

"Now, however, technology has advanced at such a pace that this aggression may destroy us all by nuclear or biological war," he continued.

"We need to control this inherited instinct by our logic and reason. We need to be quicker to identify such threats and act before they get out of control."

Thanks, Stephen.

But what about my Z?

Remember?

My Z fell off of my MacBook Pro!

I'm feeling aggressive about it.

Power down and breathe.

I have to go to a Genius Bar to fix my Z.

I need a genius because there’s a computer missing a Z.

That’s some serious Genius Bar shit.

Odds that he’ll fix the Z?

Turn off all devices and go outside for a walk.

Meditate.

Stephen, why do you think only the Z fell off?

Something about life A to Z?

Is the end the beginning?

The beginning of the end?

The end of the beginning?

Stephen, I’m overthinking this.

Slide to power off.
