Surrender!

I give up.

I surrender.

At least I try to.

I fail a lot trying.

To really surrender.

To surrender when it matters most to surrender.

When you have no say.

When you can't control it.

And I can't control it.

Any of it.

Neither can you.

Except how you "be" with it.

How you react.

How you scream.

Or don't.

How I shut down.

Or don't.

Surrender doesn't mean lay down and die.

It means making a distinction.

Distinguishing between the vital two.

What's inside my sphere of control (my reactions).

What's outside my sphere of control (everything else).

Haters gonna hate.

Lovers gonna love.

Surrenderers gonna surrender.

To events outside their control.

Be a surrenderer.

Practice surrendering.
