Self-Defense

I study Wing Chun.

It's self-defense.

Created by an incredible nun centuries ago.

Self-defense.

Like someone coming out at you to hurt you physically.

Shaolin battles.

But what about defending the self?

That mental, emotional, spiritual self?

Defending the safe.

Defending the status quo.

Defending survival mode.

I don't want to defend that self.

Sign me up for an alternate class.

"Challenging Beliefs 101."

Screw stability.

Ditch defending the self.

The best self-defense is not defending the self.

It's creating who you are.

Today.

And again tomorrow.
