Can you choose everything?
Can you choose the "bad" stuff too?
Even if you didn't want the "bad" aspect of what happened?
Or did you?
Might as well choose the "bad" part too.
Because that's what happened.
So just choose it.
Choose that's that how it went.
Instead of fighting it.
Cause it did go that way, right?
What you resist persists.
What you choose, you lose (you lose the part that doesn't serve you).
Like losing the "bad" part of it.
You lose the power it has over you.
It's just what happened.
So choose differently.
But if you choose healthier and it goes "bad", choose that too.
Say I choose to eat less.
And I eat less for lunch.
But I blow it and eat more than my fill for dinner.
Instead of making myself wrong, I can choose that that's what I ate.
I ate what I ate.
Now I have the power to "lose" the guilt and gently move back to my commitment of eating less.
Without all the make wrong and beating up of self.
It's just a more powerful way of going about it for me.
Leaves me feeling bigger than rather than less than (as a human being, not a belly).
And that's always a good thing.
All of these simple choices count.
The good, the bad, the ugly, the better, the worse, the pretty.
Over time, they build a healthier life.
If you so choose.
